Permanent Residence Visa

Thera are three immigration programs managed through  Express Entry.

Federal Skilled Worker Program- This program is for skilled workers with foreign experience who want to immigrate to Canada permanently.

This program has a minimum requirements for skilled work experience, language ability and education. You must meet all the minimum requirements to be eligible.

If you meet all the minimum requirements, your application will then be assessed based on age, education, work experience, whether you have a valid job offer, English and/or French language skills and adaptability (how well you're likely to settle in Canada)

These factors are part of a 100-point grid used to assess eligibility for the Federal Skilled Worker Program. You earn points for how well you do in each of the 6 factors.

The current pass mark is 67 points.

Once you are in the Express Entry pool, a different system is used to rank your profile and the highest-ranking candidates from the pool are selected and invited to apply for permanent residence.

Canadian Experience Class- The Canadian Experience class is for skilled workers who have Canadian work experience and want to become permanent residents.

Federal Skilled Trades Program- The Federal Skilled Trades Programs is for skilled workers who want to become permanent residents based on being qualified in a skilled trade.

If you are eligible for one of the above programs, you can also apply through Express Entry for the Provincial Nominee program. If you are nominated, you'll get extra points so you can be invited to apply quickly.
